Calcidrata cement factory

A stone's throw from the Sardinian mining village of Carbonia, you will come across the Calcidrata factory, a remnant of the cement industry of yesteryear.

Next to the four silos is a tower in which the lime was heated. However, the rest of the installations have been demolished. Calicidrata, which is more than a hundred years old, has been closed down for more than half a century.
