Art nouveau

A row of stones divides the neighbourhood park "De Porre" in Gentbrugge. Looking a little closer, you soon see that some stones are numbered, and others have a rather elegant shape. This is more than just a pile of old stones.

In a remote corner of the Maritime Station, a former freight station in Brussels, a water tower in the Art Nouveau style was built to refuel steam locomotives with water.

The former Morlanwelz orphanage is only a shadow of its former self. However, in the early twentieth century, it was the social showcase of the liberal philanthropist Raoul Warocqué.
