Brickworks du Littoral

Brickworks du Littoral

The "Céramique et briquetteries méchaniques du Littoral" brickworks flanks the Kortrijk-Bossuit canal since 1924.

Although the drying sheds, the gatehouse and the chimney have been protected as a monument since 2005, part of the brickworks was demolished in 2008.

Drying sheds

The drying sheds remained standing. They have been renovated and now house offices. These photos show the condition of the buildings before the renovation works.

Gatehouse

The gatehouse on the corner and the covered bridge, which connected both parts of the factory, have also survived.

However, the engine room and the undulating facades of the clay warehouses are still groaning away.
