Modernism

The Joseph Lemaire sanatorium in the Belgian town of Overijse is one of the most famous modernist sanatoriums in the world.

After more than twenty years of vacancy, work on the modernist main building of the Kosmos holiday domain on the Rodeberg will start at the end of 2024. The modernist building will house a hotel, café and restaurant.

The former grandeur of Charleroi still resonates in Art Deco buildings and modernist gems such as the colourful newspaper kiosk by architect Léon Coton.
